Introducing iWA1 Takumi: A Road Bike Stand made from high-quality natural wood by skilled craftsmen.

Bicycle stands are typically made of plastic or metal. However, we have developed a new stand using high-quality natural wood, based on the concept of a stand that can securely hold a bicycle and "doesn't disrupt the room's aesthetic even when placed alone." The wooden parts were jointly developed with the long-established furniture manufacturer "Karimoku Furniture." We use four types of wood that are popular as materials for high-end furniture: walnut, oak, cherry wood, and mahogany, so you can choose the wood that best suits your room's interior. Karimoku Furniture's advanced woodworking technology has resulted in a beautiful design and durability that allows you to safely place your bike on it. The parts that come into contact with the bike are finished with PE-Coated finish, resulting in a unique cycle stand that beautifully fuses solid wood, PE, and metal.

This wood is characterized by its deep reddish-brown tones and distinctive ribbon-like grain that changes expression dependng on the light.

It is sometimes used in pianos, where both beautiful sound resonance and structural stability are required, combining visual elegance with reliable strength.

Its excellent compatibility with finishes further enhances its refined an luxurious apperance.

Karimoku Furniture, a company with proven technology and many fans both in Japan and abroad, is a well-known, long-established furniture manufacturer headquartered in Aichi Prefecture, the same prefecture as our brand iWA.
The "iWA1 Takumi" was made possible by Karimoku Furniture's advanced processing technology.

Its design and texture make it suitable as an interior piece that fits into rooms and living spaces.

To achieve a high level of design and tactile feel as a
piece of interior decor for a room, the wood and metal bonding, wood processing and finishing, and sanding
were all done to create a seamless and smooth texture.

Wood processing techniques to increase strength

The wooden parts utilize a "finger joint" construction method, combining three pieces of wood.
Two pieces of wood are processed in a zigzag pattern, and the processed sections are joined together in the direction of the wood grain, ensuring the high strength essential for a bicycle stand.

Walnut, oak, cherry wood, and mahogany are all popular materials for high-end furniture.

Walnut is a premium wood known for its deep color and beautiful grain. Oak is highly durable and features a natural color and strong grain. Cherry wood has an elegant and gentle grain, while mahogany is attractive for its deep reddish-brown color and lustrous texture.
Each type of wood has a furniture-like texture and a smooth feel, allowing you to enjoy the unique character of solid wood.

The iWA1 Takumi has a structure that combines a base part into which the bolt is inserted and a leg part that supports the bicycle.
At the point where these parts intersect (around the finger joint), there is a slight step that is barely noticeable unless pointed out due to the way the wood is cut.
This step is carefully sanded down in the final processing stage to achieve a beautiful texture and feel like that of furniture.

Easy setup – simply place the bike on the stand.

This bike stand allows you to quickly and easily place your bike on it in a single action.
Since it only requires you to place the bottom bracket on it, it can be used with bikes with thru-axles and disc brakes.
The contact points are reinforced with PE processing and, minimizing damage to your bike.
Because the tires don't touch anything, it keeps your room clean, making it an ideal bike stand for indoor use.
